Son Saura de Sud to Cala Pregonda. Whhaaat? Two nights in one place? And a new anchorage which is officially in my top 5 and definitely worth the travel around the island. Protected from string wind and swell made it just perfect. Bit to top it all the 51 minute snorkeling experience throught the rocks was the highlight 💛😊✨

Cala Pregonda to Arenal d'en Castell. Around and around the island we go. Finding somewhere safe on the island when the winds are aboutbto engulf the entire island is a challenge especially as we don't trust marinas. Four re,-anchorings in two days and now today Thursday we have moved under the cliffs and Kevin taken lines to shore. Now to wait it out and stay alert till Sunday.

Arenal to Es Grau S. With the very unpleasant winds and now N swell in our wonderful anchorage it was time to ditch our shorelines and collect them later when it was safe by dinghy. Then change to a anchorage giving North protection. And so we move around this island. Hoping our next 25 days before we go into the marina are pleasant. Not according to the forecast 😭. Time to get some culture in old town ✨✨✨ back out of the natural bays to get access to enjoy Mahón. Anchored in a bay theoretically protected by 360 degrees in 6m depth of mostly mud while waiting for storm Bernard to pass through. Great to get access to a spectacular cove across the way.Read more
TravelerEnjoy! Mahón has got to be one of the precious gems of this earth. Large, sheltered, deep water natural harbor. Biggish sort of town with a small town feel… Or is it a small town with many big town amenities? Friendly locals. Nice eateries. And on and on and on.

Mahon Bay to Es Grau. While it was great being in Mahón, it's time to enjoy some outdoors while the weather almost plays along. The weather is becoming a lot more volatile and I have the feeling we will be choosing anchorages based on shelter not choice. This time we brought friends we met in Mahon Bay. Party time on Nautilus with South African Tatum and Caspar and the ozzies 😁

Cala Pudent to Arenal d'en to Cala Pregonda. So nice to get a break in the weather to be able to climb off GypsyDjango and even go riding💃. The cami de cavalls on this piece of the island is spectacular and being able to witness a Osprey Sea Hawk gliding was very special. This bird gets up to 69 cm in length and 180 cm across the wings,

From Son Saura to Arenal d'en Castell, still enjoying the serene bays of Menorca. However, the weather has shifted, and our clothing is insufficient. I plan to invest in foul weather gear one day. Yet, the sunrises remain breathtaking. At 4 am, we swiftly reeled in our lines and maneuvered to avoid shallow rocks. As a result of the next anchorage our anchor endured immense strain, stripping off its yellow paint in the 30-plus knot winds. We took a quick break to shore for some rush grocery shopping before the supermarkets close for winter. The island feels deserted, with just one other brave yacht not in a marina. However storm Ciaran is expected to pass through in two days, and I eagerly await its passing!

Cala Agulla to Cala Varques . Moving 3 hours south and absolutely loving being here. It's been a love romance with Menorca first followed by Mallorca and then back again to Menorca. I wish we simply had more time and better weather to see more of this magical island but in the meanwhile every moment here is appreciated. Still swimming and enjoying days of shifts and costumes. Great to be exploring by bike. We are very fortunate - sorry global warming.

Mahón Bay to Marina Mahon. A very sad day. We have tied our lines ashore for winter. You would think after 8 months at sea we would have had enough but it appears not 🤣
TravelerIf you’re interested in volunteer opportunities in Mahón, there’s a great group of locals and British Expats who do restoration and beautification projects on Isla del Rey for 3-4 hours every Sunday. Cerveza, vino, quezo and camaraderie in abundance afterwards.
