In the morning, we visited the historic city of Harran, one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world. Harran is especially famous for its unique beehive-shaped mudbrick houses. The city's history stretches back thousands of years and is mentioned in ancient sources. Harran was once an important center of science, trade, and culture. It became particularly famous for its early Islamic university. While exploring the ruins, we discovered remains of ancient walls and historic structures. The traditional houses give the town a truly distinctive appearance. The vast surrounding landscape enhances the unique atmosphere of the region. Many visitors come here to experience the history of Mesopotamia firsthand. It was a fascinating way to begin the day.
