    Today, our journey took us to Söğüt to visit the tomb of Ertuğrul Gazi, one of the most important figures in Turkish history. Ertuğrul Gazi was the leader of the Kayı tribe and the father of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. His life represents an important connection between the Turkic tribes of Anatolia and the later rise of one of history’s greatest empires. The historic tomb is located in a peaceful setting and carries a deep sense of respect and heritage. From the moment we entered the complex, we could feel the importance this place still holds for many visitors today. Traditional elements around the mausoleum reflect the lifestyle and culture of that period. It was fascinating to stand at a location connected to the very beginnings of the Ottoman Empire. Many people visit this place to honor Ertuğrul Gazi and learn more about this important chapter of history. The peaceful surroundings and historical significance made this visit truly special. After exploring Bilecik’s Ottoman heritage, this stop helped us understand the story even better. Another unforgettable experience during our journey through Türkiye’s history.
