Today, we visited one of Türkiye’s most famous landmarks: Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis. From the first moment we saw the white terraces, we were amazed by this unique landscape. The snow-white travertine pools were formed by mineral-rich thermal waters flowing down the hillside for centuries. The view looked almost like a winter landscape in the middle of summer. Besides the natural beauty, we explored the ancient ruins of Hierapolis. The Greek-Roman city was founded in ancient times and became famous for its thermal springs. We walked along historic streets surrounded by columns, temples, and impressive ancient structures. One of the highlights was the large ancient theater, which remains remarkably well preserved. It was fascinating to stand in a place where people searched for relaxation and healing thousands of years ago. The combination of nature, history, and culture made this one of the highlights of our journey. Pamukkale left a lasting impression and is truly a place everyone should experience at least once.
