Arriving at Heligan Campsite

From the Eden Project, we drive the short distance to Heligan Caravan and Camping Park - home for the next five nights.

We checked in with the very friendly reception staff and went to find our pitch. We set up quite quickly. We decided to put the canopy up because, whilst it's not likely to be warm enough to sit out, it's good to have outside space - it reduces the clutter inside!

Having set up, we went to explore. First impressions of the site are very good indeed. The shower blocks, wash-up area, and laundry room are the best we've ever seen!! There's even a drying room where, for a £1 refundable deposit, you can have a cage locker to dry your towels, etc. Brilliant!!

We found the gate to the Lost Gardens of Heligan that we are visiting tomorrow and located the convenient bus stop 🚏 for buses 🚌 into Fowey and Mevagissey.

The site is well maintained and set out with views over the adjacent countryside and down to the sea 🌊.
