    Drive back to Argentina

    We had an early start after a very cold night!  Despite us both wearing everything we own, we were still freezing!  After a cold breakfast of hard-boiled eggs and bread, we were on the road and heading out of Rio Tranquilo by 7am.

    We had a long way to go today, much of it on unmade roads, so progress was slow.  The scenery of vivid blue lakes with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains was spectacular!  I didn't take many photos as I was sitting on the wrong side of the truck.    Read more
