A walk and sunset

We went down to the waterfront to have a look at the beach.  For a hot, sunny Saturday afternoon, it was unbelievably quiet!  We then walked up to the supermarket in the square to buy some drinks and snacks which we had back at the hostel.

Later, we went up on the roof to watch the sunset and chatted to Nikki and Gill for a while.

Uruguay is famous for having the longest carnival in the world.  Festivities have already begun here.  There was a parade tonight which some of the group went to.  We decided not to join them, but their photos and videos looked amazing!Read more
