Final photos of the ruins

After our visit to the Jesuit ruins, and resisting the rather scary-looking souvenirs in the gift shop, we went to buy some cold drinks and then returned to our room to do some hand washing. We had timed our outing well because it absolutely pelted down this afternoon! We stayed in our room catching up with posts and editing photos.

This evening, we had to use the canopy on the truck to protect the cook group from the pouring rain! They did a sterling job under the circumstances and produced a very tasty chilli beef stew with spaghetti.

After dinner, we paid our bill for the extras we'd had at the posada. It came to less than US$25 for the meal, four jars of jam, numerous drinks, and two large slices of homemade apple strudel to have on the truck tomorrow. We like Paraguay 😀.Read more
