    Santa Clara cigar factory

    We visited the Santa Clara cigar factory, which has been rolling cigars by hand since 1830. Back in the day, they were rolled on the cigar makers' thighs. My dad liked the idea of his cigars being rolled on the luscious thighs of a pretty señorita. I'm sure plenty of señiors did as well. In any case, that particular tradition is over, though they are still made by hand at the Santa Clara cigar factory. One of a few that still do.Read more
