We drove to Dallas so that we could see where President John F. Kennedy had been assassinated. Even after 62 years, there is some controversy of who killed him.

I was 4 years old at the time. My family was getting ready to attend a parade in Austin, Texas, where the Kennedys were coming next. Mom picked me up early from kindergarten that day. so I was watching cartoons in the basement TV room. Every now and again, the cartoons were disrupted by an important message. It seemed important, so I listened several times so that i could memorize it. Once I had the information right, I went upstairs and said, "I'm sorry to inform you that President John Fitzgerald Kennedy has been assassinated in Dallas, Texas."
