Hokitika, New Zealand

We spent the night in Hokitika, a very cool little beach town! Started off the morning with a walk on the gorgeous beach, complete with Whitebait fisherwomen. Whitebait is famous here...primarily made into patties. I got to see some freshly netted - think tiny, white eels with big eyes and you get the picture.

Next stop was the awe-inspiring Hokitika Gorge. I could have spent hours perched on my rock by the turquoise blue river.Read more
