Punta Gallinas, Colombia

On top of a continent. A 2 hour crazy bumpy ride through the Alta Guajira home of the Wayuu brought us past small Wayuu villages, we are cactus fruit, saw salt plains and ended up at a small bright blue bay.

From there to put host on the upper edge of all of South America. We drove to Punta Gallinas the most northern point of the continent and to sand dunes that fell steeply into the blue waters of the Caribbean.

The beauty of this dry area is indescribable, the stars at night filled the sky and provided an unlimited amount of gazing.

The journey to this place is most the fun, but the serenity and uniqueness that it offers can not be beaten.
