• In Search Of . . . a laundromat

    September 19, 2022 in Georgia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Today’s episode of Haz takes on the World is all about . . . “LAUNDRY”

Living life out of a backpack requires special care, and at least a once a week requirement for laundry, whether that is do it yourself . . . or a wash and fold service. Having just come back from a hash weekend, I have a bunch of smelly shirts, shorts and socks to contend with. I found a laundromat on Google maps, so set off to check it out. I chose one that was more towards the business district, and was surprised to find the street was under major renovation, sidewalks all torn up, the road had just been repaved, so there were very few cars, and most of the people were walking in the street. It was only about a kilometer away, but once I got there, I found it was completely shuttered.

OK, so no worries then. Next option was to just find a place for lunch. In this part of town there were no tourist traps, just businesses, and what sort of restaurants do you think I found? Aaaaaaaannntt, WRONG. McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Dominos, KFC, and a couple local burger joints.

Continuing on and looking for a place for local cuisine, I saw this cool park . . . and that was it. Today was now going to be let’s scout a hash trail. I had a blast wandering through this park, and the surrounding area. I am sure the Tbilisi H3 has probably run through this area before, but it was still fun for me. I bet you thought this was going to be about LAUNDRY, right? See a potential trail I may set if they ever invite me back (wishful thinking), hope you enjoy it as well.
