OUTERAM 2023 – Main Event - On Top

We had a lot of rain in the morning, and considering the thunder and lighting, there was potential for a postponement to tomorrow . . . but the weather cleared up enough that we stayed on schedule. We gathered in the central park of Guatape at 1300 for hares away. After a quick chalk talk, I took off to set what was considered the ball buster trail (10+ Kms with the climb). Now there were several options, with one taking a tuktuk to the Rock and just climbing (Thanks for the Mammaries). Option 2 was getting a ride horseback along the way (Mu-sick & B-Flat). Option 3 was catching a tuktuk coming back (Candy Man, Candy Ass, Thanks FTM, Mu-Sick, PeePeePias). And of course the 2 of us that ran the whole thing (the hare and Victoria).

There were plenty of steps just getting to the Rock, and once there it was over 650 to the top. After a couple beers on top, and some views, we headed back down. Everyone was claiming they were going to follow trail going back, but the tuktuk option prevailed, and only two hashers (Victoria & B-Flat) followed after the hare and ran back to town.Read more
