Blooming Fools H3 #1010

My first hash in Indiana, and it was excellent. I had hoped to make it into town in time for the Indy-scent H3 last night, but due to bad weather while making my connection in Houston, my flight was delayed 2 hours and I missed it. But I did get a good night's sleep and was bright eyed and bushy tailed ready for the BFH3 today.

We met at Olcott Park on the southern side of town, and the pack trickled in until we had nearly 35 hashers on hand. Was good to see old friends (O+ and PCMA from Over the Hump H3) and make several new friends. I even had the privilege to meet the founder of the BFH3, White Lightning. WL started hashing in the early 90's and had made his way to the greater Washington, DC area and was hashing with the Mount Vernon H3 up to 1996, before moving back to Indiana and founding the BFH3 in 1997. He has been a regular here ever since, and has racked up 660 trails as of today (there was a buzz about what to do for his upcoming 666 trail . . . something to do with Ozzie Osborne and Taylor Swift I think 😆😆).

The pack here is super friendly, and made for a fun day on the hash. Trail was a fun 10 kms and well marked, and the follow on circle was very entertaining. After we wrapped that up, we all migrated to a local craft brewery for eats, drinks, and board games. An excellent day on the hash.Read more
