After a glorious week of hashing in Bhutan, I was back in Kathmandu today for a final hash of this adventure. Well, this adventure has been non-stop for over 5 years, but you know what I mean.

Start was about an hour ride out of Kathmandu, to a small hilltop on the south edge of the city. And when I say hilltop, it was a narrow lane of a road that was fully under construction, so there was plenty of dirt and dust.

Upon arrival, only a few had shown up so I was wondering if I was at the right place. They assured me it was, and said that traffic had many running late. Even the hares who were out setting trail, ended up holding us for nearly an hour before we got going . . . and even then, they had phoned back to say just go ahead and start running. So we did.

Since we were at the top of the mountain, there was no place to go but down. Trail started out loping along a dirt road, taking in a side path here and there, plenty of dirt tracks to go around. Then we hit what turned out to be the low point, and started back up. The hares had mentioned that around this area that we best skip part of what they set, and we ended up pretty much finishing trail off paper. In the end, we were out for nearly an hour and a half, covering 6.5 kms of fun in the Nepal countryside. The pictures tell the tale.

We had over 25 hashers on hand, and I would guess that at least half of them were under 30. Great to see a young and vibrant pack of runners.
Circle was short, as we ran out of beer. They sent a truck off for more beer, but as soon as it arrived, we all were loading up for the hour ride back into the city. And thus completes another great day of adventure in the world of hashing.
