Abyssinia Howling Hyena H3

This club was not even registered in the HHH Genealogy, so was an unexpected bonus hash for the weekend (So obviously I had to stay around for another day).

The AH5 is strictly a walking hash, and they normally start from the Yodra Cafe in central Addis Ababa (but they occasionally meet in other places). We had a nice pack of at least 20 hashers as we strolled off for a tour of the town.

In conversation with some of the local hashers, I was told that about a year ago, a massive rebuilding effort began, so much of the city is under construction. Lots of new widened sidewalks with bike lanes being installed throughout the city. We also found lots of cool things to see, as you may discover from the pictures (waiting for many more until other hashers post the group photos.).

In addition to this club not being in the genealogy, I also caught wind of yet another hash club, the Walia H3 that runs every Wednesday afternoon at 1530. As you can see, the capital of Ethiopia is a hash haven of good hashing fun. Come check it out if you get that chance.Read more
