German Nash Hash - Main Event

After partying late on Friday night, it was rise and shine for trail. I have always done the BB trail, except for the last one I did back in 2023 when I opted for the long trail (which turned out to be nearly as long as the BB trail). This year, I really slacked off, and opted for the medium trail of 12 kms due to a knee that is not well.

So off we go on trail, and the I always prefer to be positive, but the marking of this trail was atrocious. Normally you expect a good 100 meters for the first mark off the check, but this trail had numerous marks as much as 250-300 meters between marks. Fortunately we had a large pack, and we spread out all over the countryside. In the end, we all finished, so there's that.

Circle was fun, full of the usual down downs, with the hares taking the brunt of it. Then dinner and on into the night of partying and dancing. Overall, the event was very well organized and efficient.Read more
