• Bangkok Thursday H3 #488

    July 3 in Thailand ⋅ ☁️ 31 °C

We had a solid pack of 20-25 hashers, and we also had another first time hare (Just Jess), setting trail in Bangkok for the first time. Despite a few rookie mistakes, she did quite well. Trail meandered up and down various streets, then crossed a major bridge on one side, then looped back down the other side. By this point it was getting dark. Most of the markings were pretty good, but the pack hit one check near a cemetery, and things got wonky. A few stalwart hounds eventually found the actual trail, but some of us wandered around until we found trail some distance from that point . . . and some just aborted trail altogether and ran to the end by any means available.

Anyway, the pack trickled in to the finish over 45 min to an hour and enjoyed a some cold adult beverages while the last few made their way in. We then circled up for a few down downs, and one naming. Our hare, Just Jess, was brought in for examination. Many names were suggested, but in the end it was her courage of haring alone, for the first time in Bangkok, and the thought that she must have some big testicles (figuratively). So a fitting name eventually prevailed, so hence forth and forever more, she will be known as Jessticles.

Welcome to the hash family Jessticales, and thanks for setting trail for us.
