• Oslo H3 #2001 – A Hash Odyssey

    June 15 in Norway ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

Back to your regularly scheduled program . . . and it was a bit of a special event, as a spoof on a Space Odyssey. We met at a park overlooking the city on an overcast evening . . . but just before we set off on trail, the sun burst out for the first time all weekend, it was magnificent. Trail took us southerly down the coast, and out onto one of the islands in the bay. When I say out onto an island, I mean an island behind an island, way out to the end, on a single lane road. They also mentioned there would be no transportation, so we would have to walk out on our own. Happy Days.

It was a beautiful location for the end, complete with swimming. Circle was short and sweet, and then they fed us some gumbo like rice dish, which was washed down with 150 NOK (about $18 USD) swill. A very entertaining end to an awesome weekend. And to top it all off, there was a surprise in the circle, as the founder . . . Ahluetta . . . was presented with a copy of the ultimate book on HHH History, TRUE TRAIL. It was a complete surprise to me, as you might expect, but a pleasant one. So another signed copy has entered the world library.
