    July 23 in Thailand ⋅ ☁️ 31 °C

It was one of those days . . . jumped in a taxi 90 min before the start, Google said, even with the traffic, it would take 45 min. Then we started hitting the red lights . . . I timed them, we hit three in a row that stayed red for 5 full minutes. My 45 min buffer kept dropping. First down to 35 min, then 30, and soon enough it was completely gone. My 45 min ride was going to take 90 min. Then by goodness G intervened. The traffic parted, we started moving along, faster and faster. My buffer started to grow again. In the end, I got to the start 10 mins before go time. What a relief.

After dropping my stuff, we quickly circled up for chalk talk, and off we go on what turned out to be a 6 km jaunt. It was China Town, and any well marked trail there is going to be interesting, with all the little alleyways and arched bridges. This one was well marked, so we all enjoyed the twists and turns, everyone taking their best shot to break each of the checks, and we mostly ended up coming in together. Another great day on the hash.
