Virginia Slim turns 70, and he treated the whole pack of nearly 60 hashers to a fine feast, with plenty of wine, beer, and various other drinks, to wash it all down.

Trail started on soi 13, and right from the start, the pack got tied up on the first check and they all went over to soi 15 . . . where there was absolutely no trail. After 10 minutes of flagellation, they all came streaming back over to soi 13 and went up and turned left as they should have, and then trail turned towards the khlong. From there trail spent some time on the khlong with boats swishing by, and then into the slums along the railroad tracks. There was actually a bit of shiggy, short but sweet. Probably the best part of trail was through a couple hundred meters of overgrown vegetation that almost no one actually saw, as the devious FRBs did not follow arrows and wound up on the in trail, missing about 3/4 of a km of the best part of trail. No worries, the did not miss finding their way back to the beer.

Circle was in a lovely courtyard, and plenty barbs of good humor where cast upon our birthday boy. I had the dubious honor of co-haring with Slim, so took some of the abuse as well. With the circle out of the way, it was time to eat . . . and eat we did. It was a great spread of meats and cheeses, several fine Thai dishes, as well as cookies and cakes for desert.
