Grenfell Tower

In the morning, we decided to visit the site of the horrible high rise fire in North Kensington. We bumped into a few actual residents of the tower who were still shocked and were staring at the tower. A bloke told us that his father was stuck in the 10th floor for over 6 hours. Miraculously, his father was safe. They happened to live on the side that was not burnt.
He lived there for 28 years - all his life, and he told us that the exterior was only a couple of years old. The fire would have never happened before the renovation as it was all brick outside - as evident that the building is still perfectly standing and structurally sound after the fire.Read more
