    2–3 Sep, Spanyol ⋅ 🌧 63 °F

Today we only walked 11+ miles or about 17km. Up some STEEP hills and now DOWN into Rebondela, Spain 🇪🇸
It rained. It stopped. It rained. It stopped. Put on the rain gear, get hot like a sauna, take it off, enjoy the breeze!! 🤣. Repeat.
We walked through wooded areas mostly. Lovely ‘NW green’. We had a view of a famous bridge.
And if you Zoom in on the photo just after the bridge, you’ll see wooden rafts, oysters are cultivated on large these wooden rafts called bateas that float in the estuary in Vigo, Spain.
The oysters are grown on ropes that hang from these rafts, allowing them to filter feed from the rich waters below. There’s your class for the day. 😄
As we near Santiago we are seeing more pilgrims. We will be separating to go on the Espiritual Camino trail and loose most of the crowd as it takes longer.
I also thought in a photo of one of the older houses along the trail/road portion today.
Oh, there day started with the best breakfast on GF bread!! Tomatoes ( fresh puree) on toasted gluten free bread they make, Olive oil, Spanish ham, a small bowl of seasonings to sprinkle over all, and avocado. Delicious!! Don’t forget hot Oatmilk for my morning drink topped with cinnamon. I snuck in some of my cocoa. 😄
