After taking 7 hour flight from Tashkent which turned out to be quite a delight with Uzbekistan Airlines, i rushed to the city to see my brother and back with barely any time left to spare (yea, I nearly missed my flight to Singapore from Jakarta). I managed to reduce my bag weight from somewhat 19kg to 13kg by dropping some stuff to my brother. At least I’ll be able to carry my backpack for a few hours longer at this point.

Had quite a long layover in Singapore to catch my flight to Paris and I decide to go to a lounge to freshen up a bit and hopped on to my flight. I arrived in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower from my window and I couldn’t be more excited to see the city with vibrant architecture… and pastries.

I didnt waste a single second to grab a baguette and flaunt my limited French skill with the locals. And my craving is satisfied with one of the best baguette I have ever tried in my life. I headed straight to the Galleries La Fayette and the Louvre to get a sunset shot and it was a joyful experience just standing there waiting for camera capturing the scenery as the light progressed accompanied by buskers playing some music right behind me.

I spent the next day looking for spot to photograph the Eiffel tower. But there were to many obstacles in the way due to the Olympics that is gonna happen in the next couple of weeks. And also I was expecting the Notre Damme renovation is reaching the end. But i was wrong, they still have tons of barricades around and the crane is also still there. But admiring Notre Damme from the Seine river was still a wonderful experience, romanticizing the way of how people always perceive Paris as the most romantic city in the world. After all the scouting, I decided to go to Montparnasse tower to get the best view of Paris from up above and it totally paid off.

Before leaving paris, I managed to check out the Sacre-Coeur, the neighborhood of Montmartre, Jardin du Luxembourg where the locals are. And visit to Paris wouldn’t be complete with a photo of the Eiffel Tower from the Seine river. And I also manage to discover the Paris Metro line 6 where it will go over the Seine river with the Eiffel Tower view in the background. I went home early after to catch my morning train ride at Gare de Lyon to Italy.
