After spending the night at the train station, I managed to get my train to Netherland. I stopped over at a small neighborhood called Tegelen. Where I found Anytime Fitness gym inside of a former church building to wash up and do a bit of workout. It took me by surprise of how friendly the Dutch are. I got tons of stranger in the neighborhood greeting me in Dutch but I didn’t know how to reply them. So I replied them in English. This might sound ignorant but trust me. I’ve been stuffing myself with new languages every other days in this past few weeks and I think my brain has reached a dead end. And especially, Dutch is probably the most difficult language I’ve ever try to learned so I just gave up considering people in Netherland speak mostly English to foreigners and they also the best English speakers for a country that doesn’t have English as their first language. So it saved me a lot of trouble.

After getting out from the gym, I realized of how mesmerizing the architecture of the Dutch houses are. It felt like i was in a fairy tale scene or some sort. And same thing with Amsterdam, after taking a two hour train ride from Tegelen, I arrived in Amsterdam. And was greeted by thousands of cyclists roaming around the city. Boy, they weren’t joking about it. I think I see more bikes in amsterdam alone than the rest of my life.

It was pretty early in the morning and I went to the local supermarket to get some food for lunch and sat by the riverside to gaze through the calmness of the river water before I realized I saw an Apple Maps car passing by right before my eyes.

Lunch was nice and relatively cheap compared to Switching and a lot tastier too. And I quickly went to my hostel to check-in, it felt so nice after being practically homeless sleeping in moving trains and stations since I left Paris. But i guess it’s part of the adventure and it saved me a lot of money and time to get in to an accommodation.

I met a girl from New Zealand who was very sweet and told me about her frustration arriving in Paris from London where people trying to scam her right after she got out from the train at Gare du Nord in Paris where it’s well knows as one of the sketchiest neighborhoods in Paris.

After taking a short nap, i went out to checkout the city for a sunset photo session, I went to the Rijksmuseum only to found that it is also under renovation. I have no idea why they are all perfectly lined up to be all in renovation while I was there. It took me by disappointment to find out another one of my bucketshoot is out of the picture. So I decided to just sit by the park next to it and just gaze through the Van Ghoh Museum which was already closed for the day (not that I was planning to get inside anyway).

The next day in Amsterdam I spent mostly to explore the city, shop for outfit for Tomorrowland, getting a shit load amount of strop-waffles bc that stuff is gold! I got my outfit for Tomorrowland from a cool thrift shop in downtown Amsterdam, and that was one of the best purchase of the year. I also Zent to Zaanse-Schan in the afternoon, a small iconic village in the outskirts of Amsterdam that are popular among tourists for its windmills and artistic houses.

I went back to the city for a sunset photo-session which turned out to be quite disappointing because my camera battery died and I left the charging cable at my hostel. Such an Idiot.
