I was planning to visit Zaanse-Schan for sunrise session, but I could get any Uber nor trains that departs early enough. So that plan was out the picture and I just went straight to Brussels to see my friends to go to Tomorrowland.

I managed to get to Brussels just in time at 10AM, giving me enough time to get dressed for the festival at my friend’s place. I was welcomed by a sketchy neighborhood of Brussels central station and I know it’s gonna be tough to get around safely at night.

Without wasting anymore we headed to Boom a small city in greater Antwerp area, where the festival is. I was super stoked about going there since it was the whole main quest of this Europe trip. We were going separately, since I took the train and they have the shuttle taking them from Brussels directly to the venue. It took me a few transit but the train was surprisingly quiet. I only saw a few people heading to the same direction.

Arriving at the Boom train station took me by a little surprise since I barely see anyone dressing up for the festival. For a split second I thought I was going to the wrong fest. But that didn’t last long until I saw Tomorrowland banner decorating the whole neighborhood.

We started off with some food and beer before going to the first show. And it already took me by awe of how immense the venue was. There were 16 stages and a small amusement park with a flyer for people to see the aerial view of the venue. And the dining area has a Jewel-like waterfall, I thought i was back in Singapore for a moment.

We managed to visit 11 Stages and we spend the last 3 shows at the main stage seeing Steve Aoki, Alesso, and Afrojack, and that marked the end of weekend-1 and so does our journey in Tomorrowland. Honestly, i could name any better place to be than being surrounded by people with the same interests, vibing with strangers to a kick ass tune and bangers. I never felt happier in my life.
