On the Trail of Lewis and Clark

While Karl seems to have his Americain history down, Holly had never heard of Lewis and Clark and their expedition across America ("does this have to do with Superman somehow?"), so we headed to Cape Disappointment and played tourist for a change by visiting the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. We may be adventurers of a sort, but we'll never get to see the raw, pre-colonised west the expedition experienced, so it was fun to learn about the tribes they met, the plants and animals they documented, and the joy of the achieved goal of reaching the Pacific Ocean.

And Karl was jazzed to watch a crane placing giant rocks, that we kept seeing being trucked by us on highway 101, on the north jetty at the mouth of the Columbia. Boys...Baca lagi
