Sand Dunes!

The main Oregon coastal sand dunes begin shortly before Florence and there is a big tourist scene based around them with options to rent dune buggies and go sand boarding. We opted for an evening hike out of the Honeyman campground to get a feel for their immense size and how difficult it would be to walk any distance through them. It is amazing how they butt up against rainforest as the picture of Holly riding up from the Umpqua Lighthouse shows.Les mer
