The Good with the Bad

We camped just outside of Gold Beach and tried to get an early start so we could take in all the scenic viewpoints before crossing the border into California... but sometimes things don't play out as planned, as Karl discovered he had a flat before we even made it to the road. 45 minutes later we had finally managed to extract a sewing machine needle tip (!!!) from his back tire. Not long after Aaron broke a spoke and then Holly had tube issues as well. With all that time lost we still endeavoured to explore as we had intended - hiking down to the Natural Bridges and stopping repeatedly for the last of the Oregon coastal views.Read more
