Touring San Fran - Part I

After the mandatory trip to REI, we spent our first day in San Francisco trying to see the many sights in the North Beach area without spending money at all the tourist traps. We decided to skip the tour to Alcatraz and settle for pictures from the pier, while also hitting up Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Karl had found an all you can eat sushi bar in a restaurant index but it turns out they were closed to go fishing for the month - they must have heard we were coming... So we walked Grant Street through Chinatown, which was a cool experience at dusk, and settled for rotating sushi in Japantown with our excellent host Chad.Read more
