Strawberry Fields Forever...

Soon after we let Capitola we were riding through an area known as "The Salad Bowl" and Karl had flashbacks to his childhood days growing up on a small strawberry farm in Pemberton, BC. We rode past hundreds of acres of strawberries at various life stages as well as huge fields of artichokes and brussel sprouts. It was both impressive and disturbing to see agriculture of this scale and the impacts it has on the land and waterways. Regardless, we still enjoyed the bounty at a roadside market and loaded up on an assortment of fresh fruit and veggies.Weiterlesen
