Fortified Walls

We were escorted out of Pérols by Jelle, Bérangère and the whole family on bikes. After a few kilometres on the coast, we finally headed inland up the Canal du Rhone à Sète to the fortified town of Aigues-Morte, where much of the local sea salt is produced. We wandered the streets and squares inside the town ramparts, then continued up the canal and enjoyed a peaceful night filled with bird song and the odd bellowing of cows and bulls in the adjacent fields.En savoir plus
