The High Road

We set off from Pégo after a great few days of reconnecting, visiting and resting - many thanks to Patricia and Thierry for their amazing welcome. Because we tend to make these kinds of choices, we decided to take the mountainous route toward Nice. So with some non-negligable climbing we were able to explore the perfume city of Grasse, pedal by the beautiful villages of Bar-sur-Loup and Tourette-sur-Loup, enjoy some ice cream in Vence, and roll under the Baou of Saint-Jeannet. We ended our day camped along the Var River, in what felt like a very wild spot, despite being very much within a quite developed area.Read more
