The road (2)

Yes. Pretty good day. I wasn’t aware I came through Gstaad. I don’t know why it is a tourist attraction, but it is. A bit busy therefore. Otherwise the Col du Pillon was a road mainly populated byRead more
No news today

Restdays are just that. Do nothing. I varied laying in bed with a short walk through town in between the rainy spells. I got a bit of a view of the mountains I will be heading into tomorrow andRead more
And up we go

There we go again. Into the real mountains now. Starting with the Col de la Forclaz. I overtook a cyclist halfway up the climb. You know, one without luggage on the bike… well, I guess it says moreRead more
Mt. Blanc is quite white

Somewhere over there the Mt, Blanc is hiding.
Just got over the Col du Montets and now it is downhill to Chamonix. I am pretty much riding straight towards the Mt. Blanc, but the peak has beenRead more
Spotted!

There it is.

The highest

We meet again

I almost completed a full lap around the Mont Blanc. From the Petit St. Bernard I could finally see the top again. No clouds this time.
The last one

And going over the Petit St. Bernard I finished all the uphill riding for this trip. Just a short downhill to go to Aosta where this bike trip will end.
Pink is okay

Pink roads, pink signs, pink bike.
Destination

That’s that. I’ve cycled through Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Switzerland en finished in Italy. A little over 1300km and 16.000m of climbing.
Very enjoyable. Not everyRead more
