Fremantle

Took the train to Fremantle today. I'm sure I recognise the name fremantle, I just wasn't sure where from. Possibly sport, history, or x-factor...

Either way, they have a famous prison there that was built by convicts obv... So it was old, the rooms were tiny and no running water in the rooms, they had buckets. Amazingly it only closed in 1991, only because it wasn't secure enough anymore.

Learnt about Moondyne Joe (Joseph Johns... probably no relation...) he kept escaping all the time.

Also visited a shipwreck museum which was cool and the even older mini prison/guard house/time keeping roundhouse building.Les mer
