Qatar - Souq Waqif / MIA Musseum

I arrived in Qatar early in the morning and had one day to spend in Doha. After checking into my hotel to take a shower and get some sleep, I headed out to explore the city by noon. It was 42 degrees Celsius outside, with a feels-like temperature of 45 degrees.

Due to the heat, the streets were quite empty, but I decided to visit Souq Waqif, the old center of Doha. After walking around a bit, I found the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA). I enjoyed a coffee while sitting next to a large window, where I could admire the landscape of modern Doha.Lue lisää

Qatar - Christal Walk / The Pearl Iland

I heard that walking was a popular activity in Doha, so I decided to visit the Crystal Walk on Pearl Island. It was a beautiful place! One fun fact I discovered is that it has outdoor air conditioning—yes, air conditioning outside! 🤣

After that, I strolled around Pearl Island and came across the yacht club. It really is a fancy neighborhood.Lue lisää

Qatar - Souq Waqif night / West Bay

I rented an electric scooter and rode around the bay. It was a lovely ride, especially since the nighttime heat wasn't too strong, and the city lights in the buildings were on.

After that, I visited Souq Waqif again before saying goodbye to Doha.

Overall, it was a nice day. Now I’m heading back to Portugal! 🇵🇹🥰Lue lisää

Good morning, Paris! I woke up and walked toward the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Along the way, I noticed a tower that caught my attention. I discovered that it was the starting point for the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage. At one point, I also came across an old clock on a building, which is apparently one of the oldest clocks in a structure.Lue lisää

PAR - Notre-Dame Cathedral

By noon, I arrived at Notre Dame Cathedral. I was very curious to see it since I couldn't visit two years ago due to its restoration process.

Luckily, a mass was being celebrated in the church at the time, which added a bit more excitement to my visit.

Around the cathedral, I noticed many sculptures and paintings. It is a beautiful cathedral, well worth the time spent waiting in the long line.Lue lisää
