The second stop, another waterfall, surprise surprise. But somehow they still dont get boring. They all have their own special things☺

  • Stutfield Glacier Viewpoint

    August 8, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

Short stop where we could see another glacier. We met a Dutch couple (crazy how many Dutch and German people there are here) and talked a bit about the tour and life, shared some nuts and tape (he twisted his ankle and didnt had any tape with him, but we ofcourse had) and then we went on to the next Glacier:)Read more

  • Tangled Falls

    August 8, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

And another waterfall, directly next to the road and it looked like one that was made by humans for a big asian shopping mall

  • Glacier

    August 8, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

The one Glacier which is easy for tourists to reach. You can buy a bustour up, but you can also walk up. As the bus is costing 90 dollar it was an easy decision and we walked😉
Crazy windy and cold but all totally worth it!
And crazy to see how much already melted since 1944.. we guess the busses wont help to prevent the melting🤷🏼‍♀️

  • Mistaya Canyon

    August 8, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Spectacular to see how the water is finding its way through the rocks and craving out the rocks. We could come really close to the edge here and that was also a great experience!

  • Peyto Lake

    August 8, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C

Ofcourse the waterfalls have to end somewhere so now all the Lakes are coming again. Peyto lake being the first stop, amazing view and beautifull colour.

  • Bow Lake

    August 8, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

Bow Lake being the next one, also a very beautifull colour. It was the last stop before finding a campground and spending the night 🌙

  • Lake Louise

    August 9, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

Lake Louise is one of the most famous lakes here. Meaning lots of tourist and full with cars. We decided to park 4km away to avoid stress and walk up. Once there it was so crowded that we followed a trail to a viewpoint where we lost a lot of tourists. It turned out to be a loop trail with some amazing views on the lake without all the other people! Best choice ever and we had a great timeRead more

  • Banff

    August 9, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

City of Banff. After all the waterfalls and lakes and walking tours it was time for a stroll through a city. What better city then Banff.

  • Poutine in Banff

    August 9, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Tried some of the local food. For sure not the healthiest but it tasted quite good👌

  • Shower time

    August 10, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

After a few days it was time for a shower. We are so happy that we could take a really good shower in a hotel for only 5 CAD per person 👍

  • Lake O'Hara

    August 10, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

After a 11km hike we found a beautifull lake, which was so worth the walk! Then we found a nice trail around the lake from 3km with amazing views. The same lake but on every picture almost a different colour. Then we actually thought we could take the bus back down to the parking area (we already took a picture of the bus that we wanted to take), but we had to pay cash up front and forgot the wallet in the car.... so another 11km walk back down. Now glad to be back in the car after 25km and tonight not doing anything anymore🥱Read more

  • Start the day right

    August 11, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

As we found a café where we can get a good cappuccino we both are really happy 🙂.
Getting a good cappuccino in Canada is as hard as finding a shower 🚿 or phone connection in Canada 😂

  • Natural Bridge

    August 11, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

After Jasper and Banff we are now in Yoho national park. Yesterday already with Lake O'Hara and today with ofcourse another bridge🌁. But a bit different because this one was not made by humans, but by nature.Read more

  • Wapta Waterfall

    August 11, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

The three things you see most here in Canada are waterfalls, lakes and bridges. We wanted to do all three today aswell but at the lake it was really crowdy so we decided to skip that, and go directly to the waterfall after the bridge:)Read more

  • Best sleeping spot

    August 11, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C
  • Rogers Pass Discovery Center

    August 12, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

And then we did something we havent done since are here. We went to the discovery center and learned a bit how they keep the area free of avalanches (lawines) and how they use the cannons to shoot the snow down and make sure its safe. And also learned about the animals and plants living and growing here, on the different parts of the mountains (the higher, the colder, different animals and plants)🤓🤓Read more
