Day 1 - Getting to know Roma

- Trial bus ride to make sure I know where to find my school
- visit to campo de Fiori market. Never saw so much and variety of pasta. Found a little panini store for a little snack.

Villa Borghese & language school start

Language school didn’t start till this afternoon. Took a stroll thru Villa Borghese. Main museum was closed for movie shoot.

Some Exploring of Roma

Wanted to see what the true Eatalty market was like in Rome. 3 floors of everything epicurean! Really well merchandised.

A Friday Stroll Sightseeing

Saturday’s adventures in Monti

Saturday was a “full day!”
Spent many hours exploring the neighborhood called Monti (translates to mountains as it is very hilly). Itもっと詳しく
Cooking school day!

Today was cooking school!
We made a chicken dish
Ravioli - made the filling and the pasta from scratch
And of course tiramisu
All very yummy!

Italiano & Get Together w/ Ex Pats Roma

A bit of a boring day to report. Just studying my italiano. Actually took a 1 1/2 hr. private class and then my usual 3 hr. class. 😱 But after class met up with the Ex Pats in Rome group for aもっと詳しく
Busy day in Roma!

Went to see Castello Sant Angelo. Thought with it raining there wouldn’t be a line! Wrong! I will go back! Even from the outside it is spectacular!

Another day in Roma!

It is amazing to just look around and see the amazing buildings and architecture in Roma.
These are just a few of those sights.

A Busy Day in Roma!

Lots of things today! Started with a visit to an exhibition about Leonardo di Vinci. Pictures of many of his drawings and models made of many of his designs include machinery, cities even a design forもっと詳しく
A Rainy Day in Roma!

It’s a rainy day in Roma. Time for a cappuccino and a pastry (torta di mele). Wonderful bakery just up the street.
Also a visit to the indoor market near by…
What do you do on a cold rainy Saturday!

Sure ain’t FL weather! 59 degrees and raining all day! 😨 The forecast isn’t great for several days…

A Walk thru the Streets of Nomentano

Took a 5 hrs. walk my landlord gave me thru some neighborhoods near by. The apartment buildings are incredible. Stopped midway for cappuccino and pastry. Went thru to Musei di Villa Tortonia w2もっと詳しく

A Day at Castel Sant Angelo

Visit to Tivoli and Villa D’Este

Today I traveled by train to Tivoli (1 hr.) to see Villa D’Este. Tivoli is 200 yrs older than Rome. Villa D’Este was a palace built for Cardinal Ippolito by a famous architect of the time in 16thもっと詳しく
