On the way to Roncesvalles
Sharing the path with quite a bit of livestock. At one point I had to wait for a group of cows to go by before I could pass. And they were in no hurry!

Looks like a beautiful clear day up there!
Sharron Mathans Roncesvalles is famous in history and legend for the defeat of Charlemagne and the death of Roland in 778, during the battle of Roncevaux Pass, when Charlemagne's rear guard was destroyed by Basque tribes.
