I spent a week in Hawaii with three of my aunts and some other family members. I love traveling with my Aunts, especially my Aunt Patty.

One morning we work up super early, maybe 3 a.m. We drove up the volcano to watch the sunrise over the clouds. It was nauseating. At the top, it was still dark and it was freezing. I am glad I had done my research, because my thick socks, jeans, and sweatpants barely kept my legs warm. The rest of me was cold too. Aunt Debbie and I huddled in our spot against the railing, afraid if we left to warm up in the car we wouldn't get our spot back. It was pretty crowded at the top. The sunrise was worth it. It is something I would love to be able to do again.

I went zip lining one day with my cousin and her friend.

One of the days we were driving around and saw a beach that looked like a good snorkeling spot. We pulled up right on the beach, went swimming, snorkeling, hung out on the beach. It was perfect. We talked to the lady who lived there on the beach in a tent with her dog Snoopy (I'm pretty sure that was his name).

I definitely need to go back to Hawaii, Maui specifically, so that I can enjoy the entire Road to Hana. We didn't make it all the way, partly because we had a late start in the day, stopped too many times, and this too was nauseating. Next time, I hope to have a whole day to get to Hana, a day in Hana, and another day to travel back.
