Day 12: Kyoto to Tokyo

Kyoto was great but I'm not going to be able to cover the 500 km needed to catch my flight back home in 3 days. 😅

So #shinkansen it is! 🚅😎

Packed up the bike in a #rinko bag in front of the train station and boarded the train. After a comfortable 2 hours I'm back in #Tokyo and riding a short distance to the hostel I'm staying at.

After some haggling to allow the bike to be stored in my room I head into town for some dinner and explore #Akihabara for a few hours.

It's filled with some anime toy shops and some electronics stores, the biggest one being #Yodobashi where I spend an hour or two looking at cameras, hifi and other little electronics.

Tomorrow I'll have to pick up the bike bag and prepare the bike for transport before heading back into town to visit a few more sites and be a tourist.Read more
