Is this some instrument of torture?
RejsendeHa Ha - No, this is the contraption used for the pulley system to bring materials (and Monks!) up from far below in a net. Two monks would walk and turn this. Can you imagine being pulled up in a net for 45 minutes, relying on two guys above to get you to the top?! Amazing.
