On to Amsterdam (Abcoude)

Flew from Thessoloniki to Amsterdam today, where we are spending three nights for our last hurrah before flying home. Hotel rooms are spendy in the central city, so I chose an apartment in the outlying area of Abcoude. What a find!! The apartment is fantastic--large, modern, spotless, comfortable, quiet, and in a really charming village of canals, brick houses, and cafes. Plus, the price is half the cost of a simple room in Amsterdam! I highly recommend it. Only bummer is the vertigo I suffered upon getting up this morning, and it stayed with me all day, causing nausea and dizziness for our travel day 😠.
