Cycle Tour Day 7

We started our day with a boat ride along the coast. Expecting a ferry-style wooden boat, we were flabbergasted when a Zodiac-style showed up instead 😊. We were trying to figure out how they were going to comfortably fit all of us plus four bicycles! But we managed -- and later learned that the boat company had screwed up by double-booking 'our' boat. Unfortunately it was an overcast morning for the boat ride, so the rocks and caves weren't quite as impressive. Still, we've had such amazing weather that I cannot complain. At the end of the boat ride we started our bicycle ride -- a modest 20 miler. That gave us the afternoon to explore Figueres, and our group had a guided tour of the Salvador Dali museum. I'm not a big fan of Dali's surrealist work, nor of museums, but surprisingly I really enjoy the museum tour! Plus, the sky cleared and we had a beautiful sunny afternoon. Later, we had a drink and farewell dinner for the three of us riders (me, Mary Kay & Jim) plus Jonas (guide) who were doing the 8-day rather than 12-day tour.
