    8. Lord of the Rungs!

    Oohh...what an adventure! We drove to beautiful Wanaka, where Tom dropped me & Steve at Wildwire for our Lord of The Rungs climb. It's a via ferrata ("iron path") where we climbed nearly 1,000' alongside a waterfall. Harnessed and clipped in, we were safe. The climbing was challenging but exhilarating, with impressive scenery. We were very proud of our achievement and glad for this opportunity! Tom enjoyed a good meal and a book alongside beautiful and bustling Lake Wanaka, and later we all gathered at a lakeside pub to share stories & drinks.
