The Julian Bridge -- a Roman stone arch bridge over the Calavon River, dating from 3 BC!!
1Julian Bridge in the background (new 2005 bridge in front of it)Tom's turn 😉1Amazing -- 2000 years of uninterrupted use (currently bike and foot traffic only).1Tom on the bridge. The new bridge was built to preserve this one from wear & tear.1Since we've been riding mainly on roads, it was fun to discover this cycle path! [No horses allowed]1Yellow wildflowers lined this section of the cycle path.1Hmmm...I think this is some type of sculpture art. Seen along our cycle route.1Kind of creepy, actually 🥴In the afternoon, we drove to nearby Rouission to hike the Ochre path ("Le Sentier des Ocres").1First glimpse...1...on yet another gorgeous day!! 🌞1Down the steps...1...to this amazing color palette!1Very cool!!1I read it's like Arizona or Utah dropped in the middle of France.1Very picturesqueLove the late afternoon colors!1Photo only...we resisted buying ice cream 😉.1This morning's cycle routeThis afternoon's hike1Video of the brilliant colors1Tom riding across the bridge.

    Exploring the Luberon

    8. juni, Frankrig ⋅ ☀️ 77 °F

That means augmenting our cycling with some car touring 😊. Lovely and charming villages, a 2,000-year old bridge (!!), and the Roussillon Ocres were highlights today.Læs mere

RejsendeAmazing -- 2000 years of uninterrupted use (currently bike and foot traffic only). It would be cool to see water running under it after snow melt in the mountains.
