Sirmione

Known as the "Pearl of Lake Garda," Sirmione is located on a narrow peninsula jutting into Lake Garda. It is heavily visited, but for good reason -- flowers, trees, beaches, villas, and the interesting Scaliger Castle (13th-century fortress) right on the water.
