Italy Lakes Bike Tour

On June 19th, we ferried to Verbania, where we met 12 fellow cyclists and 3 guides, for six days & nights of cycling and fun together in the beautiful Lakes area of Italy and Switzerland. The terrain was a mix of lakeside (undulating) and inland (hilly) in this region of beautiful villas, gardens, and waterfront promenades. So fun to be back on the bikes, and with a fun group, including three couples who I knew from previous tours! 😊 With everything arranged for us, this was an excellent capstone to our European adventure! Our streak of rain-free days amazingly continued to the end! The European heat wave found us the last few days, with highs into the 90's, but it didn't cramp our style. We logged about 200 miles and 22,000' of elevation - doable with our eBikes, but an amazing feat for the 9 of our peers on non-assist road bikes!!Læs mere
