• Here we go, here we go.

Final checks and we left home around 10.00 - happy in the knowledge the council workers were attending to the holes in our road. Fuel stop and Maccas lunch at Wallan around midday then off our separate ways to Geelong. Paul and Trish had a truck jack-knife in front of them but survived and we met up with them at the boat quay.

Once at Corio Quay, we joined the queue for the quarantine check and then loading.

Paul and Trish were the second car on followed by us in third place. It looks like we are well positioned for a good start tomorrow.

Found our rooms and were pleasantly surprised to see a bottle of wine and two glasses on the coffee table. Trish and Paul joined us (byo glasses) and we drank our bottle, deciding that their bottle would come in useful somewhere on our travels.

Had dinner at The Kitchen Pantry. For $35 / person, it was a smorgasbord with salads, salmon, pork belly, roast beef and roast veggies. Because we are inside the first two weeks of sailing from Geelong, we also had an entree of oysters and salmon. Unfortunately, this will not be available on the return trip.

Checked out the Tas tourism desk where Trish and Paul obtained their Parks Pass.

Need an early night as we disembark at 6:30am tomorrow and head to Penguin for breakfast.
